Who is Patrick Lawe?

Pat Lawe has led an outstanding and distinguished career in the insurance
business for 50+ years. His career and his influence has spanned 3 generations and is still at the top of his game and the relevancy thereof.

Considered a visionary in his field, Pat Lawe started his career with the then North American Life Insurance Company for which the famous Danny Williams was the then Branch Manager, NALA CO. was Jamaicanised to become Life of Jamaica in June 1970 and subsequently Sagicor in May 2008.

Pat Lawe's career saw success from the start, qualifying for the Million Dollar Round Table in 6 consecutive years to become life member in 1975. He then went into Management and built the Ligaunea Branch while at LOJ, then known as the "Rolls Royce" branch. In 1993 he was appointed as Senior Branch Manager, one of only three among the Company's 23 branches at the time.

In 2004, he transitioned to form his own Company Pat Lawe Insurance Agency which was the first Company to offer legally registered international health insurance in Jamaica. The Company was later in October 2006 upgraded to broker status to become Lawe Insurance Brokers.

Mind and Matter

Many persons showcase their prowess in only a few, let alone, one aspect of their daily lives, with little room for diversity - not Patrick Lawe. For much of his career, he had dedicated himself to the service of others through offering protection via insurance. Who would have thought that this financial genius would have had the gravitas to dive into the world of construction and real estate?

In 2012, Patrick Lawe launched out on the development of the Almond Beach Resorts in Barbados, away from Jamaica, away from the industry he is accustomed to, but well within the core of his calling. He went to the other side of the business and saw how it was to not just insure property, lives, etc., but to see the value of that insurance

In this time, though short-lived, Patrick Lawe got to appreciate the shear value of his contribution to nationa building and regional development. It showed him not just how important it was to have insurance, but gave him a chance to feel what some of his clients, and their interests have to endure, on a day-to-day basis.

These are the experiences and decisions which set Pat Lawe apart from the average businessman. He steps out and into the life of the Client, not only for a glance, but to glean insight only to serve them better. Indeed, he epitomizes the balance needed to not just excel, but to flourish - mind and matter.
