During her tenure at Sagicor Life, she won Rookie Trophy for her branch. In the same year, she was a first-time MDRT qualifier, along with Century Club member and High Flyer qualifier. Additionally, she was given many small roles in the branch, identifying her leadership skills as MDRT team captain and she sat on the planning committee for branch events.

Makiesha is a lover of dominoes and played in the business house competitions for the company, along with many in-house competitions such as netball and football. She has been enhancing her abilities in the insurance field by continuing her studies. She has completed the Jamaica Stock Exchange securities course and is currently enrolled in JAIFA’s FSCP course program, doing her final course for her designation.

Makiesha resigned from Sagicor Life in October 2022 and is now back with her mentor, Mr. Pete Forrest, as a part of the Inner Circle Branch. She has a passion for helping families fulfil their financial goals and sees a fulfilling future as an Insurance Professional.

For her, the sky is not the limit; it is just the beginning, so she aims for the moon, so that if life changes bring forth any delays, she will still be among stars.
